Expired TRV but got valid Wp

Hey there. I know people have asked this questions so many times and i got 50 50 answers.
so I am going to US in few weeks i dont have valid visa on my passport as i got my work permit and i haven’t got it stamped as i was not aware of all this till now. Looking about expired trv online it says u can come back to Canada if you have only been to US with expured trv? Is that true. So Is there anyone who been to US in similar situations and come back to Canada via Air? Please answer me if someone have recently done it. I would appreciate it

Expired temporary resident visa

• You can request to return to Canada on your originaltemporary resident visa, even if it is expired, if:
  • you will only visit the U.S. or St. Pierre and Miquelon; and
  • you will return to Canada beforethe end of your approved stay in Canada.

Yes, but you will face 2 issues.
1. Departing from US to Canada, I assume you will use a flight to get back to Canada, there you have to satisfy the airline that you are eligible for travel.
2. On return you will be full aside by IRCC and they will go through a background check and will be allowed once they are satisfied. If they are not satisfied with your circumstances you will be returned to US and need to get a TRV before reentry.

If you are OK with above, you can proceed with taking the risk.
