Hai! Every one!
We have to go to India on urgent ;we have booked our tickets via london Heathrow on January 09,2018; my daughter PR card expired on Dec 02,2017; we already applied for renewal on urgent; can my daughter fly via london with expired pr card? We are going to apply PRTD after landing thére.can you please give a right info? Lots of cofusesions?Very urgent! Thanks!

For simple transit purposes (not encountering immigration/not leaving the transit area) there is a list of situations that remove the need for you to apply for a transit visa. Visit the following link to see if you are exempt from needing a transit visa.

Note:

Expired documents are not acceptable.

Hi

There may be an issue for her to transit through the UK with an expired PR card. I suggest you contact UK authorities to clarify if they will accept the expired card or if she requires a transit visa.

If your family and your daughter are the holders of a valid United States visa, I suggest that instead of applying for a PRTD you reroute your return flight to take you to an American city near the Canadian border and from that location rent a car and drive back home to Canada. (or have friend come pick you up.)

An expired PR card is good enough for entry via land.

A US visa also allows visa free transit through the UK.

Why would you suggest that it is a better plan to re-route their flights instead of applying for a PRTD when you don't even know how long they will be staying in India?

Oh sorry I thought they were returning Jan 9th. Read it again, seems like they are leaving on Jan 9th. My bad. Have edited my post.

Thanks a lot dear friends! our last hope is we had got an email from IRCC call centre; they have forwarded our urgent process request to responsible office,given three suggestions too; one is they may speed up my daughter PR card application and mail it to me;another is they may random pick up for quicker process and deliver through nearest CIC office by hand to me(I believe this is the best one for my shortest period before departure date);third one is they say to apply PRTD , after going to india; None of suggestions no guaranty at all!! They did not say any thing about how we can pass through airport airline check-in; UK border control;
Right now, my question is that Is there any other legal document,or a letter from CIC to show to immigration officers for my daughter applied status?
Can you please advice me guys? Thanks!

Waiting for your responses!

1/ No. You have to contact the UK consulate, it is quite likely that your daughter will require a transit visa for the UK.
