Hello,
I am a Canadian citizen, and my wife is a Permanent Resident of Canada, whose PR Card has expired while she accompanied me working abroad.
We are now completing the form IMM 5524 requesting the issuance of a travel document so that we can travel back to Canada.
My inquiry is about the nature of the supporting documents, as explained below:
Evidence of your permanent resident status in Canada, such as:
1. An expired permanent resident card (Does this mean the to send the original card in the envelope?)
Supporting documents proving that you meet the residency obligation If you are accompanying a Canadian citizen or permanent resident, these may include:
2. Marriage licence (The licence in the Arabic Language. Should we translate and Notarize?)
3. All passports or other travel documents of the person you are accompanying used in the five years before the application (mandatory)
(Original Passports or copies?)
4. Documents showing the citizenship of the person you are accompanying, including the date the person became a Canadian citizen
(mandatory) (You mean Citizenship Card???)
5. Evidence of the residential addresses of the person you are accompanying for the five years before the application (mandatory) (Copies
or original of rental agreements?)
Thanks a lot in advance for any help I can get.
