Expired Passport... Help Needed

My parents have 10 years visitors visa on their passport. Presently are in India.

Now their passport is expired.

Can they apply for passport renewal?
Will visa will remain valid on old passport?

Yes, but they have to carry the old passport as well as the new one.

i thought visas are not issued beyond the validity of a passport? you just never know with CHC....

Hi I have a similar issue am outside canada right and planning to be back in a week my current passport is valid but I need to change my passport to the electronic one u guys think I can stick the old passport with the new and the valid visa is valid since it is not in the new passport?

Will they still consider my visa is valid and let me to enter canada??

My current passport expires 2016.

You are fine, just carry both passports.
