Hi there, can anybody help me with some advice ,
I am a chef, and my work permit expires on February 17, 2015. I applied for PNP British Columbia in October 2014 than I received AOR November 26 , 2014 until now still no news from PNP , however all the changes happened and it takes ages to get nomination ( if so ) . I need to extend my work permit, but I will not even have LMIA confirmation number by the expiration date of my current work permit ( due to 1 month advertisement posting ) and the employer is afraid we would not get LMIA either as it is pretty strict now. I do not want to lose my status here.
Not really sure what to do :
1.Can I apply for extension of work permit without LMIA confirmation number, just with copy of application that my employer would fax to Service Canada and then add the confirmation number later to CIC ?
2.or is it better to change status to visitor ( just to stay keep my status safe and legal ) , what form should I use and Can I apply again for work permit after I receive LMIA confirmation number? Can I apply online or have to send application for work permit to my country of origin.
3.If I change my status from worker to visitor – will be my PNP application which is in process still valid ?
4.In the case I would get in the situation that I need to restore my status , will be my PNP application still valid ?
