Dear forum members,

I have few questions about my PR process . I would be very grateful if anyone can share their insight.

My background: I lived in US for 8 years and worked 6 years under work visa. I relocated to Canada in Oct'09 under a student visa. I am going to school full-time now doing Management course. I want to start my PR process under FSW category. My profession is in 38 occupations list and I have score of 74 under FSW category. Hence, I think I will qualify under FSW. Also, I can provide any experience letter/pay stubs etc. I don't want to wait for 1 year and then apply under International student category as Canadian work experience class. My questions are:

1) Can I put Buffalo, NY as my Canada embassy? I used to live in Buffalo, NY before I relocated to Canada. The reason I am asking this I don't have work visa in US now. I only have visitor visa to US and I lived in Buffalo for 1.5 years due to work.
2) I already sent my initial application once to NS but it was returned back as they asked me to submit my proof of enrollment in my school. They haven't made any note on my choice of Buffalo, NY. I want to send back application now with what they asked and was wondering if I still request Buffalo or New Delhi?
3)Which embassy is better Buffalo or New Delhi? I have plans to visit ND, so if needed I can go to ND during the process...
4) Which embassy is faster?

Thanks,
Cando

Dear Cando

ND is faster than Buffalo. But you need to keep some factors in Mind

The Paspport needs to be submitted to VISA office for about 4 to 6 weeks
The Visa office that you specify once can not be changed in general

Aprroximately after how many months do we have to send our passport to ND?. I may go to India anyway and thinking I can get both things done at the same time. I don't mind staying 1-2 months in India.

Thanks
