Dear All,

I have a sister with 3 sons (all above 18 years old) living in Kuwait and she hold a university degree in finance & accounts. Myself having a permanent residence in Canada and 2 other sisters are Canadian Citizens. I will appreciate your kind update and help if we cam (myself & the 2 Canadian sisters) to be able to bring our sister and her sons to Canada as permanent residence either as a skilled worker or as a family sponsorship.

You kind reply will be highly appreciated.

I believe your sister should apply on her own via the Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSW) program because of her age and her civil status. She can only get points for having a relative in Canada (which is you). The first thing she should check is if her work experience falls under the 29 NOC list. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp. I don't think she is eligible for Family Sponsorship program.

She can also assess herself on here if she can get the minimum 67 points to be eligible. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/assess/index.asp

The best way to start is by reading this guide for the 2011-2012 FSW applicants. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp

I myself have relatives in Canada and all are Canadian Citizen (parents and 2 brothers), but the only way to get there is to apply on my own.

Regards :D

Sponsoring an adult sibling is possible if the citizen or Canadian landed immigrant lives alone in Canada, that he or she have no other relative ( any relative in your family regardless of how closely related the Canadian sponsor is) living in Canada.

Brothers and sisters over 18, or adult independent children cannot be sponsored.

If they apply to immigrate under the Skilled Worker Class, they may get extra 5 points for adaptability for having a relative in Canada.

Otherwise try for job offer for your sister so that she can arrive on work permit and try for study permit for the boys.

Read details here:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/relatives-apply-who.asp

That's true that you can not sponsor her under family sponsor class.
Rest of other options are open (FSW but should be match NOC's of principle applicant in this class she can claim points as adaptability points of relatives, other way is student visa , work permit , even some PNP immigration also there if you stay in that provience).

Read more here for all type of immigraiton related (business, federal, Provience nominee, Quebec):

Hi

Which province are you living in?

Have you considered PNP? I believe SAS, Manitoba and a few others do have provincial nomination for relatives, like brother and sister etc.

Peace!!!

Look at these links for saskatoon & Manitoba:
