Hi guys, I'd lost my PR card a while ago and was checking this forum to see where I can get my PRTD as soon as possible and since there wasn't any up to date info I decided to write my experience with the VAC office and embassy in Warsaw, Poland.

Originally I had planned to go to Vienna since I had heard that the processing time is much faster but due to some change in my travels I had just a week in Warsaw and decided to give it a try there.

I applied for the PRTD on Monday 21st August, at the VAC office in Warsaw. Things went smooth and didn't have to wait much in line. The only important issue for me was that I was travelling back on Saturday 26th August so I definitely needed my passport by then.

I submitted my documents including my passport at the office but was advised to write a cover letter explaining about my flight and when I will need my passport back.

After sending a few emails and calling both the VAC office and the embassy during the week, (I was quite nervous about not having my passport back and missing my flight), I was given my passport back on Friday 25th of August with my PRTD inside.

Summary of my PRTD at Warsaw:
Submitted my documents at the VAC: 21st Aug (Do so before 1 p.m since they will send it to the embassy in the same day).
Received my passport back: 25th Aug
Number of days for processing: 5 days
PRTD document was valid for a year and had multiple entry written on it.
Costs: 322 Zloty (approx 80 euros) at VAC office + 50 CAD which I paid online for the PRTD

The gentleman working at the VAC office was extremely kind and understood my urgent situation. I believe he played a big part in me getting my document in time.

I hope this info helps. Let me know if you guys have any question.
