Aslam u alikum dear members.....

i have a query about my work experience......... i live in Pakistan, Lahore and i have worked as a pharmacist in a government hospital....

but the problem is that i was deputed in the hospital by the Government of the Punjab, Health Department through NIP (National

Internship Program). A program which was initiated by the Federal Government of Pakistan by the Ministry of Youth Affairs for fresh

graduates. Under this program, i received a monthly stipend of Rs.10000/-. In the experience letter it is written that i worked as a

National Intern and was deputed in hospital as a Hospital Pharmacist.

Now i want to enquire from someone that will it be considered as a one year work experience or will it be considered as internship....

Second thing which i want to enquire is whether i have to get my experience letter verified by the Ministry of Foriegn Affairs or there is no need for this....????

Kindly somebody reply

As long as you worked full time, it'll be counted.
Work letter doesn't have to be attested by foreign ministry, just signature and stamp of your employer on a letterhead will suffice.

Dear Usman,

I'm sharing an earlier answer I provide on similar question.

Page 41 from OP6: "be full-time work, which, according to R80(7), is equivalent to at least 37.5 hours of paid work per week. Full-time work experience requirement may be met by the equivalent in part-time paid work experience, e.g. more than one part-time job held simultaneously or one or more part-time jobs held over the equivalent of one year of full-time work. Experience can be calculated by adding up the number of weeks of full-time work, i.e. 37.5 hours per week in one job or a total of at least 37.5 hours per week in more than one job, in one or more of the NOC categories. Periods of work of less than 12 months during the 10 years immediately preceding the date of the application may be added together and divided by 12 to calculate the number of years "

And R80 reads:
"Experience (21 points)

80. (1) Up to a maximum of 21 points shall be awarded to a skilled worker for full-time work experience, or the full-time equivalent for part-time work experience, within the 10 years preceding the date of their application, as follows:
(a) for one year of work experience, 15 points;
(b) for two years of work experience, 17 points;
(c) for three years of work experience, 19 points; and
(d) for four or more years of work experience, 21 points.
Listed occupation

(2) For the purposes of subsection (1), points are awarded for work experience in occupations, other than a restricted occupation, that are listed in Skill Type 0 Management Occupations or Skill Level A or B of the National Occupational Classification matrix.
Occupational experience

(3) For the purposes of subsection (1), a skilled worker is considered to have experience in an occupation, regardless of whether they meet the employment requirements of the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational Classification, if they performed
(a) the actions described in the lead statement for the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational Classification; and
(b) at least a substantial number of the main duties of the occupation as set out in the occupational descriptions of the National Occupational Classification, including all the essential duties.
Work in excess

(4) A period of work experience that exceeds full-time work in one occupation, or simultaneous periods of work experience in more than one full-time occupation, shall be evaluated as a single period of full-time work experience in a single occupation.
Classification code

(5) A skilled worker must specify in their application for a permanent resident visa the four-digit code of the National Occupational Classification that corresponds to each of the occupations engaged in by the applicant and that constitutes the skilled worker's work experience.
Officer's duty

(6) An officer is not required to consider occupations that have not been specified in the application.
Full-time

(7) For the purposes of this section, full-time work is equivalent to at least 37.5 hours of work per week."
