Need help here. So an employer I worked for in 2012, issued me a reference letter that did not contain the words, 'permanent' or, 'full-time.' The employer has a grudge against me for joining their competitor and has made it impossible for me to get the right reference letter from them. I approached the HR but they cannot do anything without the go-ahead from the CEO who is a pure mule with all due respect. He refused to provide me with another letter with the thought that the previous letter given was already a, 'favor.' I don't want to pick up a fight with them as I need them to atleast give the right information when an investigation is carried out.
In this case, if the letter is void (which I think it is), what should I be doing? Help please.
