Hello all,
I had a question. Once you are in the express entry pool as you can get employed by the Canadian Employers.

However, after getting ITA do you get more opportunities and calls from Canadian employers as compared to the previous case where you are only in the pool waiting for ITA ?
Also is it that fact that Canadian employers are more willing to offer you a job after you get an ITA ?
In that case is it possible to secure job from your native country and then leave for Canada ?

Please do share your experiences about job opportunities pre and post ITA you got if possible.

Thanks,

Your ITA has nothing to do with your job opportunities, Your employer doesnt even know about it. Securing a job in Canada from outside is very close to impossible.

Hello ,
Thanks for your reply. Express entry process says you get 600 points if you get a job offer.

So does it mean that the Canadian Employers do not pick candidates from the express entry pool also (in that case it will be difficult to get those 600 points also) ??
If so do they only prefer candidates who have landed in Canada with a PR ??
Once you are in the express entry process for a PR, does the Canadian employer still have to do a LMIA for a candidate ?

Thanks,

Its not that they offer you a job after you landed here, But the job offer that gives you 600 points should be backed by LMIA otherwise you dont get any points. So getting a LMIA backed job offer while not present in Canada is bit difficult.

People already here on work permits have a better chance. If you do not have enough points try PNP options.

Difficult maybe but not impossible. I myself came to Canada on a work permit backed by a LMIA. Work permits wouldn't exist if it were possible to get a job in Canada from abroad but it has a lot to do with the type of skills you possess.

Hello,
Thanks for clearing the doubt. I understand the job scenario now. I think I have enough points (475+) for express entry. I'm a software engineer and wanted to get the job scenario cleared before going ahead.

@ButterflyChemist: Thanks to you for sharing your experience.

So it seems that your chances of getting job are more if you are physically present in Canada. However, depending on your skills LMIA backed job offer is still possible.

Others please post your experiences here if you have got LMIA backed job offers. Would be happy to hear from you all.
