I believe you can call them and let them know the dates that you would not be able to attend - out of town etc. It doesn't mean that you will get your oath any sooner though... it might then be scheduled AFTER your non-availability.
At my test, they asked us to write down any dates that we would not be present in Calgary in the next 3 months so that they could schedule dates accordingly.
