Hello,

Has anyone experienced the same like me? My AOR is in January 2020 and waiting for PPR. My medical has expired in December 2020 and there is no request for re-medical or extension. I am expecting a baby in next May. My question is, if I get PPR before May and get VISA, then probably I cannot move within my VISA expiry time (I guess nowadays they are issuing 6 months validity of VISA). What should I do in this situation?

Option 1: Should I submit my passport and apply for VISA after getting PPR immediately. Then I will wait till the baby born and inform IRCC after the birth of the baby and apply for PR of the baby.

OR

Option 2: Should I inform IRCC now that I am expecting baby in next May? What can be the outcome of that? Will they stop issuing my PPR right away? Please if someone experienced the same or know what to do, let me know.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Nipa,

Firstly, Congratulations.. if I were you, I would definitely update ircc about being child birth expectency and let the application be placed on hold till the baby is born..Firstly, it's tough to lead the life with a new born in a new place that too with the pandemic around in my opinion.. secondly, baby will be added to the application along with you..so you three can travel together and you can take your time to find a job and go there.

Thirdly, even if you guys get COPR now.. you may not travel due to travel restrictions limiting for students, temporary resident workers and people with copr approved before March 2020.

We are on similar boat.. but we were expecting a baby by the time we got ITA in Feb.. Feb, we submitted application by deferring xray for my wife in medicals... last June, we submitted my wife's and baby's medicals and from then waiting for PPR still
