Hi Friends,

I have a very Strange Question :

Can we exclude wife from our EE profile ? As without spouse I get more 60 points.

How can I do that ? Is it ok to do that now and sponsor her in future ?

Regards,
KN

No - you can't exclude your wife. Excluding your wife is misrepresentation (lying in your application). If CIC discovers the misrepresentation, you can expect your application to be refused and to be issued a five year ban from entering Canada. If somehow your application is still processed (i.e. CIC doesn't discover the misrepresentation), then you will never be able to sponsor your spouse for PR and if CIC ever discovers your misrepresentation in the future, your PR status could be revoked.

If Excluding means not making her primary applicant then it should be fine, isnt ?

as long as one state that he is married and answer all questions related to status correctly

My understanding is in such case in case of PR only husband can travel first and then sponsor for wife PR

isnt that is correct understanding?

As soon as you state you have a spouse you are asked to fill in their details and points are affected as such.

Hello All,

I have a basic question. I recieved my COPR and will be landing soon in Canada.

After 3-4 months, I would be marrying, in my base country.

I would like to know the process of bringing my wife in Canada after marriage ?

Please help.

Check out here:

Also you would want to visit "Family Class Sponsorship' section of this forum.

It is quite a lengthy process, i would suggest checking https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1FAYZyQgud1lzp7fM28i2O8ZrfbMAxdTc_t7_fiwI6ak/edit#gid=658388151 to understand how long will it take.

Its 2 step process with certain points which worth researching.
