Hi all.
May not affect everyone, however, I am "In Process" with the London office, have completed the ACPO forms stating Military service, yet they still requested a Service Police Check be completed and sent to them.

Others I have spoken to with the same background have never heard of this, could be a new thing that CIC have thought up, who knows?

Is very easy to obtain, anyone who requires this service, or thinks they might, message me I`ll pass along address.

Best of luck all

I would post your question to the Family Sponsorship section of this forum. This section has significantly fewer readers.

Sorry, should have been more clear.
I have already done the check and had it forwarded to the Londan High Commission.
My point was this appears to be a new thing, as other ex forces guys who have been through the PPR process have not been asked for this check. Was trying to give any guys who are in process or about to reply that they may also need one of these and probably better to apply and get it sent rather than wait and have your file put on hold while they get the info.
I can only assume that some of the places us guys go , usually for over 6 months which would then require a police check from that country, would be very hard to get. Can you imagine asking the police in Basra for a check?
My thoughts are that this check would cover all the various theatres of operation and simplify the whole checking buisness.
Maybe I am trying to put too much intelligence into it , I don`t know.
