Evidence Question - letters from her friends

Hi guys! My fiance' will be asking for letters from friends/family attesting to our relationship, but with the exception of just a few, they don't speak English. Their letters will be in Javanese Bahasa. I know these letters need translating to English, but do the translations need to be 'certified', or can she do them herself?
