Ever applied for PR, will this affect my study permit application

Hi,
I ever applied for PR in 2007 - 2008, but got declined due to the change of the rule. Now, I got accepted to a college and about to submit the visa application. What are the chances of me getting the study permit? Will my past PR application affect my study permit?

No it will not effect ,i applied too to PR and i did not update my files and now i got the study permit
