Hi everyone, I didn't have any luck getting a response in the "Settlement Issues" or "Finding Work in Canada" forums, so I thought I would try here considering my partner did receive his PR visa via the Family Class route. Essentially we're planning to land in about 3 months and we're assembling a list of documentation to take with us. My question is with regards to the degree(s) my partner has and whether we should have sort of formal evaulation of his credentials vs. Canadian standards. He has a Masters degree in economics from a Dutch University in the Netherlands (non-regulated profession). The degree is also printed in the English language so it's not necessary to have it translated. Can anyone advise whether we should have sort of formal evaluation of his qualifications considering he will be looking for work in a non-regulated profession? Can anyone (who's received their residency permit via the Family Class) share experiences about whether employers have asked for this when looking for work? Any advice would be appreciated!
Cheers,
