I have a hungarian passport, I live in Jordan
when I checked the Canadian Embassy website I found that hungarians don't need a visa to visit Canada
BUT I saw also a sentence :" While you don't need a visa to visit Canada, you still need to meet some other requirements, such that a letter o invitation, convice the immigration Officer that you will return to your country of citizenship when the date of your visit expires, also you maybe asked about amount of money you have to your stay ..... etc" ...... Questions here :

1) While I dont' need a visa: Why I should be asked about all these things?

Most important question :

2) Who will ask me about these things, is it in Jordan Airport where I live, or when I arrive to Canada ???

They ask you because they need to check that you're a genuine visitor and not coming to work or claim asylum.
You will be asked at Immigration in Canada. If they are not convinced, they can refuse to allow you access to Canada and will send you home.

My answer will depend on what your *real* motives are for going to Canada. Are you just going for a short tourist visit or do you have other plans?

To be honest, I am going to visit my relatives and friends there, and to be honest I would like to find a way to extend my stay..

You can say that: Main goal is visiting , but I can't hide my wish and willing to stay there ...

You may wish to ask one of the people that you are visiting to write to you, asking you to come over and offering to support you while you are there. It is possible to request an extension of your visit but it's not guaranteed. You will not be allowed to work or study, unless it's a short course of only a few months. You are allowed to look for work but cannot actually start working until all the paperwork is complete. There is no path to become a permanent resident by just visiting. Make sure that you tell the truth when you are questioned on arrival and ensure that you have access to enough funds for your visit. You should be able to show that you have strong ties to your home country, so that you have good reasons not to overstay in Canada.

Does that mean I have to ask one of my relatives to send me a letter of invitation ??

While I could not stay in Canada to work or study: What about getting married of a Canadian girl??

My dear Zardoz: Through your experience : What is the best way to stay there while I am coming to Canada as a visitor ??

Thnx for your respond .. :)

You don't have to have a letter of invitation.. It might help when you are questioned at the border.
You *could* get married to a Canadian girl, but that gives you no rights to stay in Canada.
She would have to formally sponsor you as a permanent resident and it's quite likely that this would be seen as a "marriage of convenience" and the application rejected.

The best way to get to Canada to stay is to do it properly and apply as a skilled worker through one of the economic migration classes. Take the test on http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/eligibility.asp and see if any options are available to you.

It is a long way to get a work permit, and eventually maybe you won't be eligible to have a permit in their opinion ... :-[

If I have the chance to enter the border: What is the probability to live and work there illegally or exceed my permit time I have given by Immigration Officer??
also
If they catch me exceed the time, what is the probability to come to Canada again ??

I had a feeling that this was your intention...

You are very likely to be caught sooner or later. All it takes is for someone to have a disagreement with you and report you. You will have no SIN to allow you to work legally and therefore anyone who does give you work will pay you a very poor wage and exploit you. If you threaten to quit work, they may threaten to report you, so that you can't quit. When you are eventually deported, you will find it almost impossible to return. CBSA are very good at catching people at the border, so you might not even enter the country.

Once you are deported from Canada, do not expect to be able to enter a long list of countries who share information with Canada.. The USA for example.
