I am writing on behalf of my Husband Alessandro Greguoldo. Last year he was arrested while entering Canada at the border because he was found with medicine (benzodiazepine) not declared. When in prison the officers told him to be repatriated instead of being put on trial so as to come back to Italy and then go back to Canada with no problem. He was travelling in Canada because of work, he had a working permit visa for specialized workers, he works in motion pictures for cinema business. When he came back to Italy he tried to do the Eta again but this travel document was refused (follows the written reason why the eta was refused):• You are found inadmissible to Canada under paragraph 36(2)(d) of the IRPA: committing, on entering Canada, an offence under an Act of Parliament prescribed by regulations.
Now he has to travel to Canada once again for working reason. He works for a Quebec FX company with a branch at Munich in Germany. He has to go to Montreal soon in order to be trained as a supervisor. I checked on internet and I found that he may be eligible to a temporary residence visa . We want to know if it is possible to be eligible again for ETA or for a temporary residence visa ,how to proceed and how much time it takes. Thanking you in advance
