On july 31st 2018 I was given an exclusion order. I over stayed because a judge from a civil court had taken my passport. It is up july 31st this year and I'd like to take my 3 month old daughter to meet her dad. I can prove the strong ties to the u.k but I can only fly in a 2 week window due to other major commitments. All I need is an eta but with the exclusion order only just ending will it take a while to process? Anyone have experience or visiting after an exclusion.

Why didn't you apply for an extension? You didn't need your physical passport to do that.

Yes, the eTA may be delayed because of the Exclusion Order. All you can do is apply after July 31st and see what happens.

Because on the actual application it told me I needed a copy of my passport. And between my passport being taken and cbsa interview it was 4 days

You didn't take any copies of your passport before it was confiscated while in a foreign country?

What is the actual timeline? How did you only have 4 days between confiscation and an interview with CBSA?

I didnt know it was being taken. A police officer turned up at the address and took it. My visa was up 2 days later and I presume the courts told cbsa as they were waiting outside the court for me 4 days later (non criminal) my ex took me to court in canada over custody)
