Hey guys,

I have applied for PR but haven't received an ITA yet.
I'm flying to Vancouver on the 9th of June though and I'm from Belgium so I need an eta.
I'm hoping to stay for 6 months while I wait to get PR.
They ask me for my employment information and I'm not sure which option I need to choose. I started my own online business (webshop, online courses, web developer) in February. Am I allowed to work for my own business registered in Belgium while in Canada? Do I need to show I have enough funds for 6 months? Do I need to buy a ticket that shows I'm leaving after 6 months? I'm hoping to get my PR somewhere in those 6 months and if not, apply to extend until I get it.

Why don't you try applying for the eTA now, it's only $7.

IMO try answering the questions as if you do intend to leave Canada at the end of 6 months, so show that you have your own business in Belgium. Don't make it sound like you're intending to work from Canada either.

You don't need to buy a ticket.

Ultimately, the length of your authorized stay will be determined by your interview with the CBSA officer when you land at the port of entry, and not on your answers in the eTA application.
