Hi All,
I just checked my eTA and found the following message at the bottom of the eTA: Following an assessment of your file, it has been determined that you no longer meet the requirements for an Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA). As a result, your eTA has been cancelled. Your file is now closed. Should you wish to reapply for an eTA, we encourage you to do so only once you have addressed the reason(s) for the cancellation of your application. At that time, you may submit a new application at www.canada.ca/eTA. You are no longer considered to hold a valid eTA. As such, you should not plan or undertake any travel to Canada.
I also found this thread on this forum: https://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/threads/eta-cancelled-without-reason.621016/ - where the OP mentioned his eTA was still valid after all.
I have not overstayed my welcome at all or done anything that would constitute a breach of the eTA, so I'm hoping my case is the same. But I kind of would like to know before leaving the country and potentially not being able to come back after.
Does anyone have pointers on what to do here and where I can find out if my eTA has really been canceled?
