I am a dentist by profession residing in INDIA, registered with the National Dental Examining Board of Canada for the Equivalency Process which allows foreign trained dentists to work in Canada.
I was registered for the Part-3 Assessment of Clinical Skills ACS Examination which was scheduled on June 05-06. Due to the Covid pandemic , that examination was cancelled and rescheduled for December 05-06 . I am registered to appear for the December 05-06 examination In Montreal.
This is a practical Examination for which hands-on training is rendered at Prep courses in Mississauga - Ontario for a period of 3-5 months. I am registered for a Prep Course in Mississauga, Ontario from July to Dec 1st, 2020
I am currently in India as I am a resident here and travel on Visitor Visa for these examinations. I have travelled 5 times in the past 3 years for these examinations.
In view of the Covid 19 Pandemic travel restrictions - visitor visa holders cannot travel to Canada unless it’s immediate family of citizens or PR holders.
Although MOCA india has announced travel bubble and all valid visa holders can travel from India - IRCC has not changed travel restrictions yet.
Is there any way of getting travel exemption ?
I wrote to IRCC 3 weeks back - that time they refused stating its Non Essential. Have written again after Travel Bubble announcement- but not received any reply yet.
Any suggestions or ideas would be helpful.
