Hello.
i applied for a visitor visa application in 2023 and got approved. In that application, i said i was in a common-law relationship and indicated that i was living with a guy for 5 months at that time. Visitor Visa is APPROVED. When I left for Canada, we were only living for 9 months at that time.
Now, i’m in Canada as a visitor, got an LMIA and planning to apply for Work Permit. Should I state in my work permit that I am actually single and write a letter of explanation?
i was not aware that there is a 12-month cohabitation requirement to be considered common-law. So technically, I have never been in a common-law relationship.
will this become an issue for the work permit app?
