Hello all,

I just realized that I made a mistake by filling the one address during my eligibility period. What will happen to my application? will CIC reject or just return it for correction? and if they do return it, how long should it takes for them to do so?

Thanks

They wont return it to you since they dont know where you were when. They will only know once they start doing back ground checks. For now, wait to get into the System. Then using the Webform make the correction.

If there are no gaps and you did not obviously enter an incomplete address (like leaving out the street name or so) then it is unlikely for your application to be returned. You will be able to send a correction using the web form, once you have received AOR.

If the error you made is one that is noticed during the initial check of your application (a gap or obviously missing information) then it will be returned.

The time it takes for the initial check varies. The spreadsheet of applications by forum members (maintained by volunteers on the forum) can give you a bit of insight into the time it can take. The time to AOR is the time it would take for your application to be returned. This has taken multiple months for some, but the time it takes may be shortening now that the big influx after C6 is abating.
