Last week, I have received my COPR. However, my marital status is listed as “single”,which is not correct (I got married). I think it is a typo mistake.

My husband is pr, and is not included on this application (he doesn't sponsor me, nor I sponsor him)
Actually after I've received my marriage cerfificate, I informed CIC by mail and I've received a reply: Noted in database.

I have contacted CIC agents for several times, but their answers were different: an agent told me to send back my passport and CoPR back to CPC-Ottawa immidiately, another agent told me to fill the document Imm 5218:Request to Amend the Record of Landing, Confirmation of Permanent Residence or Valid Temporary Resident Documents,

Since I haven't landed, They both thought I should correct mistakes before I land.

So, what should I do? Can I send my passport and Copr back to CPC-Ottawa as the agent suggested ? I have sent an email to CPC-Ottawa, there is no reply until now. Did someone meet the same problem? Thanks a Lot!

Hi
I am trying to get the same thing done. I got married after I got my COPR and I haven't landed yet. Can you tell me how you informed the CIC?
I tried filling the web form and got some random response.
Please let me know if you were able to get this done properly.
Thank you
