My PR card got approved in Feb 2010. At that time I was in USA and later I got a job in USA. Now I am married to USA citizen and I have a green card. I am planning to visit family and friends in Canada in Mar 2014 with my USA green card. At the airport, shall I give all facts to the canadian immigration officer and surrender my PR card? Or shall I just keep it quite and get in on the basis of my green card. Kindly help.

Do you plan to keep your PR? or you decided to live in the US?

If you don't care about losing your PR. I would just arrive as a greencard holder and if asked by CBSA say you do not enter to live in Canada and that you will submit an application for canceling the pr.

If you use your PR card to enter Canada, the customs form will ask when you left Canada so you will need to put yourself as a visitor. Then CBSA officer will ask where you live now and when you plan to come back to Canada etc.

Also, CBSA officer might report you for not potentially fulfilling your PR status in Canada. PRs have to reside 730 days in five year period.
