Hi. So, my passport expires less than a month from my intended travel. I plan on leaving the country just a matter of days before it expires. I'm trying to get the urgent renewal on it, but running into problems with scheduling the appointment in time. If I can't get it renewed and have that little time left til it expires, will I be denied entry? I researched & saw that they do not require 6 months. This feels like I'd be cutting things very close!

Oops! Didn't mean to leave out important info! I'm coming from the US and visiting friends. I would stay for 2-3 weeks and be leaving a week or two before my passport expires.

Are you a US citizen travelling on a US passport? If so, I would consider the passport validity date a non-issue. Canada and US citizens can stay in each other's countries visa-free for 6 months I believe and Canada and US border officers, in my experience, hardly give a second glance to US/Canada passports. For most of history, Canada and US citizens did not need passports to cross the border.
There was a time a drivers license was enough..then 9/11 happened and the US became paranoid..
