Hello,
I am an international student from the US attending university in Canada. I recently applied to extend my study permit as my old permit expired with an outdated passport. I have since left Canada for Christmas break and recently found out that my new permit was mailed to my Canadian address while I was away. I am wondering if it is worth mailing this document back to the states before I return, risking it arriving after my scheduled flight back to Canada, or may I be allowed to enter with just a photocopy of the permit itself? Any help regarding the matter is greatly appreciated.
