Hi Guys - I am planning to move to Canada over the next year and I am trying to evaluate what would be the ideal situation to land up in a Job when I am there. I have figured out that Visa's for Federal Canada have their own limitations and the only option left for me is "Quebec". I am not really sure of the jobs available in Quebec. So, I am thinking of entering Canada as a Student. Thus, I would like to know whether people who enter Canada as students have better job options or will they end up the same way as a guy who entered with a work permit.

Please guide me.

Thank You.

Both are different roads but leads you same destination.

One needs to understand his objective to going canada before evaluating both roads.

Having less chances for FSW & entering canada at any cost even if on study visa is another thing and going for study to increase your profile, experience & exposure is other thing.

If you want to study in world class universities then strengthen your education with blend of exposure through post study work permit and subsequently apply canadian experience class and having enough money for this then you should go for study visa.

At the end, whichever way you can affoard and can go through you should choose.

Entering Canada is objective and achieving this following are roads.

1. study Visa
2. work permit
3. federal/Provincial immigration

Thanks

The chances of landing up with a job are exceptionally bright if you have some canadian qualification. consider two things

1) Can i afford the education?
2) Can i wait to enter canadian soil?

Personally i have stayed in canada for four years of my life as a student and its not a fun thing. You have to apply for off campus work permit, don't have a health card so you always need to pay for health and wait couple of months for reimbursement from college health card company. I would say try to immigrate before you go.

Hi Karan,

Thanks a lot for replying back. It really helps before I make a choice. For me the whole point of coming down to Canada is land to up in a good job. I know it takes its toll to live as a student, but if I get a good job after my course....I would be excited. Saying this, I am also concerned about getting in there through immigration as I already have a PG and about 2yrs of Work Exp. Please suggest what should I be going with to enhance my job prospects. I am not into IT as most of them are...I am into Digital Marketing / Online Advertising. Do suggest few things that I can count upon.

Thank You So Much. Really appreciate your time.
