Entering canada on study permit 1.5 months before classes?

Hello,

How early can I enter in canada with study permit(May 2019)? Coming in Mid march 2019 for college starting 1 May 2019 is ok? Will immigration officer allow entry that soon?. I don't want to be returned from airport. Does Showing invitation letter from my boyfriend(PR) in Canada justify early landing?

Others can comment as well but sure you can arrive 6 weeks before your course starts as long as you can convince CBSA that you can support yourself for those 6 weeks without working. Most people arrive early so they can sort out living accommodation , banking etc... not specifically because of a boyfriend.

So maybe if you have a boyfriend letter it should be worded in such a way as providing financial support and accommodation. But do not volunteer such a letter to CBSA unless really necessary if you can convince CBSA you can support yourself financially anyway without any letter.
