Entering Canada in Visitor Visa before receipt of PPR

Hi,

I already have a visitor visa on account of my wife's work permit and also have been waiting for the PPR since my AOR on 5th May 2018.

I plan to travel this month end even if i don't get PPR prior to travel date due to some urgency. In case the PPR comes after i reach Canada, do i have to comeback to India and submit the passport in the VFS centre in India or there is any provision of submitting the passport in Canada for processing it from visitor visa to PR status?

There is a provision against which you can submit passports in Canada. However post PPR, you will need to exit and re-enter in Canada.
