Hi All
I hold an Indian passport and presently working in USA on H1B. My wife and child are living with me on a H4 visa.
I am moving to Canada along with my family on a work permit. I have a full time job offer in Canada and the new employer processed my work permit.

I have few questions in this regard, your guidance in this regard will be highly appreciated.

1) I am planning to cross the border by road (driving my own car). Do you see any issues with crossing the border by road? Can anyone share your experiences with crossing the border by road? I am planing to enter either at Ambassador Bridge or Queenston-Lewiston Bridge

2) What is the paper work typically the immigration / customs officer ask for in addition to passport, Canada work permit etc.

3) I am taking my own car to Canada(US made and purchased & registered in USA). What is the procedure to export the car to Canada?
Any additional information that will be helpful with this move will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
W Puri

So you and your family all have visitor visas already approved by immigration in your passport already ? You have to give more information on this work permit you say your employer has processed. Did they already get a positive LMIA from ESDC to hire a foreign national ? Or was it a ICT ?

Hi, thanks for your response. I am expecting my work permit approval by end of this week. Visa is not yet on the passport. My attorney has taken care of LIMA approvals.

I am mainly looking for requested details in advance for planning my travel.

Hi, can someone please help me with these questions? I got my visa now and planning to travel in a week

Thank you in advance!
