Enter to Canada without PR cards

Hello folks!
Is it possible to enter to canada without the PR cards ?
I've heard that there's an option to take a document from other console in the world (for example paris) and this can replace the pr card for one time.
Is it true?
Because me and my family must to fly abroad and we didn't received our cards yet, and i'm afraid that the officers will not let us enter back.
Any opinions guys ?

Yes, you can apply for a Travel Document from the Canadian Consulate in the country you will be visiting/staying. Are you visa exempt? If yes, you do not require the TD but you must identify yourself as a PR when you enter Canada and you should have a copy of your COPR with you.
