Enter Canada on the day visa expires

Hi, I'm an international student from Vietnam, I have extended my study permit, but not my visa, which will expire on August 31st. And as scheduled, I will be back to Canada on August 31st, so will I be allowed to enter? Or the officer would be likely to reject?

Better you apply visa after you receive your visa go back to your country.
