I got an ITA for Canadian express entry programme few months ago and i filled the form and submitted it two weeks ago however, I got an IMM5669 form where certain questions are been asked and yes happened to be my answer to question 6D which states that Have you ever been refused visitor or temporary resident visa to Canada or any other country? At the bottom of the form there is a line there that says If your answer to any of these question is YES, provide details.

I want to know if i need to explain in details what brought about the refusal and a ten year ban i received from the UK embassy five years ago on the basis of a forged document which i got after investing with a fraudster or just come up with a statement like, Yes, i have been refused visa to the UK once and the reason for the refusal is incapacity to provide documents that support the purpose of travel and stay in the UK.

Thanks

Though im not sure if they will be ok with a straight forward answer, but then they may sk f or further details. Since this is a critical question whihc will decide your PR processing, i would advice you to consult an immigration lawyer or before that post ur query in Thank you legalfalcon thread

ok - yours is a bit of a tricky question to answer...
if you were given a 10 year ban from entering UK - you will need to provide full details on what led to the ban, including any documentation you have regarding what led to the ban and so on... i hope it wasnt completely your fault, otherwise canada might reject your PR application (i hope that wont happen)

i would not hide why the ban was issued - becoz AFAIK UK and canada are part of a intelligence sharing group (sorry cant remember the right term) who do share information about visa refusals to certain people and that sort of thing... so even if you dont give proper details as to why your visa was refused, they can just contact UK and get the reason themselves...

yeah i second jackdawn here - i think it would be best to take legal opinion ... yours isnt a straightforward case of visa refusal for lets say "we dont have confidence you will return to your home country after your visa is completed" or "finances not in order"
