Hello Sir,
My enquiry is regarding my application which was sent by my wife on 26th june 2013
I was sent my passport to Immigration section, High Commission of Canada, New Delhi Office due to requested 8 weeks ago.
Can u tell me how much time will taken immigration section for decision?

New Delhi asks for the passport at the beginning of the process, so it could be anywhere for 1 month to 1 year. Check in the New Delhi threads to get a better idea of timelines.

hey stage 1 is 1 months and stage 2 is 11 months................total 1 year is the processing time in new delhi..............they have started processing files for april 2013 applicants and lots of backlog still pending right thru 2012 applicants uptil now..........so u can expect some good news coming to u earliest by next year jan-feb..........

Unlike most other visa offices, ND requests the passport early on in the process. So the passport request is not an indication that a decision has been made. You likely still have several more months to wait.

hardyboyz right now new delhi is on may applicants....so u r end june applicant ....u shld be hearing something early feb 2014..........there is too much backlog pending from jan -may applicant 2013 as yet......they have slowed down the process since 2-3 weeks now..... good luck
