Not sure I understand the question. What is CIC India? If PR is not available you can only enter Canada as a tourist provided you have a tourist visa.

Sorry for not being specific. I have applied for Express entry, my wedding is planned in India in April next year. I was thinking if i do my landing before going to India, there is still a possibility that I may not receive my PR card before I leave to India in April.

I will get a month holiday from Work but I have to back in Canada by mid of May. So, if I don't receive my PR card, I will have to apply for a travel document in India to enter in Canada in May. Since I will have only a month in India it is important to get that document within that time frame as getting more leave from work may jeopardize my job.

So I was asking if anybody knows approximately how long it will take to receive travel document from canadian consolute or VFS india? I plan to apply from Mumbai VFS.

Looking forward for some expert inputs/solutions from you all. Thanks.

Thanks for the link however the information is too old (2010). not much helpful. Is there any other way to find out the processing time.
