Dear All,

Thank you for all the advices on the forum. I got the reply finally that I have to submit docs within 120 days. Although I applied before new rules to london office and my application was delayed due to unknown reason and was sent to Nova Scotia. Fortunately I got the reply 3 weeks back to start process.

I wanted to know can someone has a template/letter for the English language if you are looking for IELTS exemption so I can have an idea how to go about it just for starting! Do let me know so I will give you my email address for file attachment. Thank you for the help.

Good Luck to all of you.

Take care

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
With all due respect,
You r looking to claim points for your proficiency in English without doing IELTS and cannot write and explain by yourself. AMAZING!!

Good Luck!!

Why not to pass the test if the language ability is fluent? it would be just of less stress & all the problems solved.

Dear All,

I just shared the views with you as everyone do on the forum and dont expect piercing comments! DONT DISCOURAGE ANYONE! I was just frank and true! Template for just a push start nothing serious. I have sit IELTS before and scored 8.5 band in Academic module. Well I have drafted an excellent letter for English Language so lets see. I am not afraid of General Traning Module just wanted to save some quids!

Cheers

Khanboy,

My advice is to take IELTS, otherwise you may not be able to score the required 67 points. Lets put it like this, just calculate your points without Language points, and if they are close to 67 like 65 or 64 than go with the letter otherwise IELTS is a safe bet.

Hi Khan.

We claimed full points for 'English language skill', We did this only because we live in such state, from where we can't take IELTS. And for the test we needed to Drive atleast 10 hour. And now we are scheduled for an interview and need to drive 14 hour to get there. Probably they want to see how fluent we are in english.

Anyways, here are some hints on how we prepared our letter,

1. We started with basic background. (who we are)
2. Then our school life.( explained how our schools prepared us for english)
3. Then a little bit about ariving USA for higher studies.( if you are in USA)
4. Explained how we use english at our work environment.
5. Then comes social life in USA (as most of them are english spoken)
5. And at last claiming full points for those above reasons.

Dear

Thank you for the reply. Good approach you did. I explained in the covering letter and furthermore I got the reference from the college where I completed the bachelors degree for Medicine and then again from UK I got the structured reference for English from university after completing Masters.

But still I think as our first official language is not English so we need to sit IELTS!

Feedback please

Khanboy

If english is not your first language, you probably have to do IELTS

When i wrote the letter, i also gave proof of proficiency in each of the different sections.

So Rupesh, you were asked to write the IELTS?

There are cases where Academic version has been fully accepted as long as it is still valid. (1 Year for immigration Purposes).
So you should not have a problem.
A proof to this can be read on the trackitt.com cases.
Good Luck.

Oh Rupesh did you mean 'not' ?

Make sure you improve your spellings before sitting IELTS as it could prove to be quite tough.

In that case, let us hope that they don't ask for IELTS :)

I learn something new everyday. I didn't know that the plural of spelling is spellings :)

Dear All,

I agree when you write something you tend to make mistakes and you are in a rush on the forum website! Like I never check the spelling or grammar, what so ever I wrote!

Tolerance and Respect is necessary please do not beat a bush about all this matter! Trivial issues!
