sorry my farmer friend but that is nice way of her saying "Not a winner. Please try again".

You can tell her that you respect her father's thinking and understand his position and you would not want to become the reason for a problem between them. Tell her to visit you when its convenient for her.

I don't promise you any action but atleast you come out as a nice guy.
