Hi, Does work experience in engineering field require engineering degree in the same field?

It depends on the wording of the NOC code. If the code has wording like "a xxxx degree in xxxx may be required" it is not a requirement.

Not sure what you mean - do you have a degree in one engineering field and work in another? (Eg. electrical and computer EE?) There is some mobility between engineering professions.

But if you have a degree in, say, sociology, your experience as an engineer could be suspect....

SO - officially, degree and work experience do not have to match (unless they are regulated occupations). But it also has to make sense...

I have bachelor of chemical engineering from home and masters of computer engineering from Canada. My work experience is in chemical engineering, I would like to know if ECA is required for my bachelor ro show I am a chemical engineer.

Technically not required. Would it be a good idea? Probably...

I already ordered the ECA and it would be prepared in 3-4 weeks. Now that I have all my documents in hand, I would submit my eAPR and send the ECA using CSE? What you think?
You think they would go through my docs in 3-4 weeks for verifying all required docs received?
