Hello All,

I have finished Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Dalhousie University NS. Currently, I am on 3 year postgraduate work permit and working with a startup company in Calgary as an Engineering and Operations Manager for last 5 months. For AINP; I checked the Engineering criteria list. My job responsibilities doesn't lie under the Engineering manager or Mechanical Engineer position. Although few of my responsibilities lie under the Mechanical technologist or Drafting technician.

Should I apply under Mechanical Technologist position; but my reference letter and pay-stub says Engineering and operations manager.

Any kind of assistance in this regard would be appreciated.

Regards,
RD

I have applied to Meng in Mechanical Engineering for fall2017 in Dalhousie University.
I completed my application and submitted all my documents.
How competitive is Mechanical engineering in Dalhousie ?
My application is already rejected by Western university and Carleton University..

10th- 94%
12th-92%
GRE:306
TOEFL: 99 (20 above in all sections)
GPA:7.76
projects : 2
got good LOR

I had a similar issue when I applied.
I worked as a mechanical engineer for a total of 4 year and as a documents and compliance engineer for just under a year.
I categorized the latter experience as mechanical engineering technologist and it was fine.
