Hi,

Is there anyone on this forum who has changed their field of study and gotten the visa??

Ive done my bachelor in Computer Science from Mumbai (2007) and did an under graduate diploma in event management from Australia (2010) and have experience certificates in events.

I have got admission for PG in events in Canada. Should I apply for my visa for event management, or should I get admission in PG for Computers??

I'm just worried about course mismatch if i go to PG in events.


Please help me out anyone who has had a similar situation!!

If you have experience in the field you have got your admission in, you shouldn't have problem. Course/study mismatch is more like sudden transition from one state to another. Like ice to gas is not a study mismatch (because ice melts to water and then becomes gas upon heating) but dry ice is a course mismatch (it turns gas directly from solid)...bad example but I found it funny

thanks for the reply rhasan!! i'm really worried after reading a lot of posts on this forum! course mismatch...and visas being rejected for PG certificate and diploma courses.

got 8 in my ielts today....Will be applying for my visa after getting a loan sanctioned....hopefully in the next 10 days.

i it necessary to show parents ITR to get loan sanction letter from bank? if we have fixed deposit og joint account with parent and we want loan on that FD still is there need for ITR?

dont need ITR if you are applying through SPP. If its general visa application, then you need ITR and many other documents.

brother but my bank is asking for ITR for loan letter too???
if i will get loan letter without ITR is there any possiblity of visa refusig in embassy?

@khurana - to get the loan sanctioned..maybe you need ITR, but for the visa application under spp you dont need it.
