Hi Everyone

I got my ITA on the 28th of June and I was starting to look at documents that I would need to submit.

I had a few questions on the employment reference letters. If any of you can help me out with some input, that will be great.

1. Do I need reference letters from all previous employers? For example, I was employed with 2004-2007 with Infosys and as you can see I quit almost 10 years ago. Is there a time period for which you need the reference letters or do you need reference letters for ALL employers from the past? (One other hassle is that none of my previous managers work at Infosys and I am not even sure which corner of the world they are in)

2. In case I cant get reference letters from one of my employers because of organizational policies or other issues, what are the other documents that I should submit to prove my employment and experience?

Can you please help me out?

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
1 - You need reference letters for all employments stated in the work history, you can remove jobs that do not affect your score and eligibility and add them only in the personal history section, no proof of employment will be required for those jobs.

2 - Ask a colleague to write a reference letter in plain paper and notarize this document.

Sorry to butt in, but if ex colleague able to issue letter on company letterhead, do we still need to notarise it?

If that colleague is a supervisor or manager then no need to notarize it if on letterhead.

However if he/she shares your position it is sketchy if they write a letter on letterhead.

Is it okay if the ex-manager also no longer works in the company, and neither does the applicant? Can it still be on a plain white paper saying I used to be X's manager etc.?

Yes, he can write a letter in plain paper.

If possible add his business letter and/or any proof that he used to work for such company.

Thank you DelPiero07. I had my entire work history listed when I created the Express Entry profile. Now that I have received the ITA, I dont think I should remove anything from it right? Or can I? Or can I as long as it doesn't change my points?
