I am an Express Entry candidate.
I have prior work experience in Canada, however, I could not claim points for Canadian experience in my Express Entry profile. Because I was on deputation to work at a client site and my Indian employer does not provide supporting letters for immigration.

The experience letter provided by my employer does not state the roles and responsibilities I performed and it doesn't state that I was working in Canada on so and so dates.

I would like to know, considering my situation, What options do I have now to prove my Canadian Experience?

A reference letter from my colleague who worked with me in India stating my roles and responsibilities would help? Along with this, I can submit copies of work permit, Tax receipts and payslips.

Thanks in advance for your help.

In general, if you cannot provide a required document, you have to explain why, and provide proof of your efforts to obtain it / proof of why you can not get it, and then provide supplementary documentation. It will not been easy, but others have succeeded.

Can you provide proof of such a policy in writing?

Your best alternative would be to get a supplementary letter from the Canadian client. Hopefully you are still on good terms with a supervisor or colleague there.

Those are excellent supplementary documents. Good luck -

Thanks for your response.

I have an email response from my employer stating that they can only issue a standard experience letter and cannot include what I learned or specific skills acquired while I was employed. Can I use this as a proof of my employer policy on issuing reference letter?

The colleague from whom I will be taking the reference letter has never been to Canada and he has worked with me only in India. Will this letter still be sufficient to prove my roles and responsibilities that I performed in Canada?

??? Not required.

The requirements for the Letter of Employment are:
1) Dates of employment (and location if relevant)
2) Job title(s)
3) Salary / wages, benefits
4) # hours worked per week
5) For each position - this is key - Job duties and responsibilities ****

Don't think so, he did not witness you working in Canada.

Do the best you can. But without a letter from someone working in Canada, it may be difficult.
