Hi
Forum

I am in a dilemma with fulfilling the exact requirement of employment records.

My spouse is the prime applicant and she can fulfil all the details required by CIC for employment records. However I am a co applicant any procuring reference letters for my employment records is a bit difficult. Most of the companies that I have worked for have shut down and some are not willing to provide these details.
I have letters which are basic in nature which explain my duration with the company and the title that I held within the company. My existing company is too reluctant to provide me a reference letter. Inclusion of my work records make no difference point wise to our application. I have also included all my work experience details in my personal history. I am not sure how should I proceed with my application .

Cheers

If she is not claiming points for your work experience (and she can only if it's in Canada) you don't need any reference letters from your employers.

Correct, your foreign work experience is completely irrelevant to your spouse's application.

Remove it from work history and add it to personal history, forget about obtaining reference letters.

so we need to add it to the work history only if we need the office to consider it for points and it won't raise any suspicion as to why is it added to personal history and avoided from the work history ?

Not necessarily, if you're a FSW applicant you also have to make sure that changes do not affect your eligibility (67 out of 100 points).

In this specific case of spouse's foreign work experience the change does not affect CRS or eligibility.

sorry to bring this thread up I am a bit confused with one thing..

I forgot to mention one thing .....

Have already received my ITA and had included his experience while filling up the profile.
Can we still go ahead and remove it from the work history and let it be there in the personal history in the ITA application?

Do I need to give a reason in the LOE letter as to why it wasn't added to the work history while it was added before while creating the profile.

Would be wonderful to know what is the right approach here ..

Thanks
