Hello friends

I wish to know if working in another province on part time basis, can hurt my chances for provincial nomination of another province. Even when I've received the EOI of the new province and have just submitted my application for NOI.

FSW
which province's NOI you recieved?
For instance , Alberta PNP' requirement is the following. i believe you are aware of the requirements

Eligible work experience
At the time your application is mailed to the AINP or submitted in the AINP portal you must have either:
  • a minimum of 12 months full-time work experience in your current occupation in Alberta within the last 18 months, or
  • a minimum of 24 months of full-time work experience in your current occupation in Canada or abroad within the last 30 months or both – this work experience can be a combination of experience gained in Alberta, in Canada (outside Alberta) or abroad.
@Bacelor your opinion is required on this matter : )

Hello friends

If i am not mistaken, it sounds you have received an ITA from maybe SK while waiting in the pool for AB for example? Nevertheless
It totally depends on the Province and the case officer.
Even if you showed interest in another province through your experience or a relative prior to your EOI submission, it doesn't count you ineligible, but surely considered as a risk factor on the long run.

Anyway if you meet the minimum requirements of the desired province just step forward for it, totally legal. You shouldn't be worried if you meet the criteria.

One more note that can easily be observed: The unprecedent inclinations towards PNP since the temp. Suspension of FSW draws (There has been 10 PNP draws in 2020 while there are 9 draws so far in 2021 and we still in May) https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/mandate/policies-operational-instructions-agreements/ministerial-instructions/express-entry-rounds.html#wb-auto-4

Meaning you are not alone, it should be expected nowadays in PNPs, in fact not only expected but forced as a strategy, to push candidates towards PNP.

Thanks@dankboi and bacelor.

Thing is, I'm an intl student in Quebec, and also working part-time in a company. So I applied for Express entry and received NOI from Ontario. But while filing my application, I had this trepidation that Ontario while processing my application may think that I've too much going for me in Quebec, and therefore that I may not have the intent to migrate to their province. So I'm asking if my chances will be hurt given my circumstances.

Please I need your guide.

No hurt,
Usually provinces prioritise in province candidates which is logical, which might be taken in consideration when evaluating your submission, however if there aren't much of such risk factors (links to the Province of Quebec, owned property, a sort of business, "not specifically" any strong ties i mean) your chances are higher but work experience only should be just fine.

@Bacelor, I wanna know something, cus I'm very new to this thing.

I submitted an application for Ontario NOI through EOI obtained under the province's Express Entry FSW. So here are my concerns:

1) Do you know how long it takes for the application to be processed.

2) Do I still have any other application to submit, or once successful they will issue me with an NOI. I'm asking this because I keep hearing of "After submitting EOI, and you're nominated, you have 14 days to apply for NOI." This is quite confusing to me, cus I don't know what it means. I thought once I submit my EOI and I'm successful, Ontario will automatically nominate me and additional 600 points added to my EE profile.

Please can you help me out here.

Thanks a lot bro. However, I actually prefer asking someone with knowledge for directions than reading up multiple internet posts. Most times doing multiple internet readings can mislead someone. That's why I prefer to ask you, than trying to do a research, especially when the research is based on random posts.

But thanks again

No worries, overall you should always seek knowledge from official sources especially when it comes to significant life actions such as immigration.

Ontario application process

https://www.ontario.ca/page/ontario-immigrant-nominee-program-oinp#section-2

How PNP works
1
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/provincial-nominees/works.html
2
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/immigrate-canada/provincial-nominees/application-process/express-entry.html

Now
Your ONTARIO application now should go through processing, till final decision. Once approved you receive PNP nomination automatically in your EE account you will be given 30 days to click accept PNP. Unless you changed your mind, I guess you should accept in less than 30 sec.

Once accepted your score will be boosted by 600 points and put idle in pool till the next PNP or Non specific program which ever comes first. Noting you will not be able to accept any other PNP no second nominations are allowed.

After this selection draw you receive an ITA and you will be given 90 days to submit a complete PR federal application. Which is slightly different from what you have just submitted in terms of up front medicals, biometrics, PCCs, POF and letter of references. Each by which you will figure it out.

PNP EE federal application is a bit different where you should attach number of federal forms in LOE below is a sample list for paper base application but you will be attaching those in LOE as your application is electronic.

THANKS BRO!
Wishing you all the best luck bro.

I guess you see now why a consultant cost a fortune, most of fees are federal and province fees, also a consultant would spend much time reviewing your papers in details for accuracy, however if you read enough you do not need to hire any consultant.

I re stress for you the following: as much as you are knowledgeable as much as you are empowered, still over this platform there could be sort of communication distractions. I mean i have answered your query depending on couple of comments made by you and this is not necessarily sufficient in all cases.

All information are available for free by IRCC only focus and you will see everything in order. :p

You can always come back to this thread for further support, once you receive your PNP copy me and if i am there i will try to follow up more with you.
