Hi,

I have applied for Canada Express Entry along with my husband. I submitted Employment letter from my previous Company XYZ for which I worked in 2010 to 2014. In 2015, the Company is merged with another company and is now named to ABC.

When I recently asked ABC support team, for employment letter, they provided it in XYZ letter head. I submitted the same in my application. I received a concern from Canada Immigration officer about the current existence of XYZ and asked me to provide additional documents to allay their concerns.

I asked my previous company support team again and they provided me employment letter in ABC letter head which also stated that XYZ is a ABCcompany and also provided the company CIN number.

Is it okay if I upload the new Employment letter in ABC letter head to the application ? What other document/information do I need to provide them.

I didn't want to create another thread as it's on the same topic of Employment Letter. I've been employed at my current company from Sep 2013 and got a promotion to manager in Oct 2014. The employment letter states that I was employed from Sep 2013, but doesn't state the name of the role I had then - it only states my current role effective Oct 2014, which is what I am claiming points for anyways. Is it okay if the letter doesn't state the actual job title of the previous role, and just the start date? I am not seeking to claim any points for the previous role.

  • should indicate all positions held while employed at the company and must include the following details: job title, duties and responsibilities, job status (if current job), dates worked for the company, number of work hours per week and annual salary plus benefits; and
