Hello. I asked my manager for an employment letter and he gave me one that has all the requirements.

The letter is signed. However, it is not dated. (The date of signature or date of the letter is not there.)

I will complete 1 year at my workplace and be eligible to submit my application on May 20th. Here are my questions:

- Do I need to have a date on the employment letter to indicate when it was written?
- Does the date need to be on or after May 20th?
- Can the date be before May 20th?

Thanks for your responses!

You should get it dated! One of my employment letters wasn't dated and I suspect it slowed down my application (it took 15 months from AOR to eCOPR for me). I sent in a replacement letter and then weeks after my application was approved I got an email saying it wasn't needed so it may not have been an issue, but best to not risk it.
Likely would be best to get it dated once you've reached one year, but keep in mind the "year of experience" IRCC requires is not a calendar year but rather 1560 working hours, so you might have reached it already, in which case just get the current date on it!
